As-salaamu 'alaikum.
How are you doing so far in this blessed month? Did you find our last challenge helpful in being confident in your day while fasting?
Have you felt super tired at work, or in your day activities while fasting? Today, we will discuss 2-20' TaQwa Habits (spiritual/physical/social) to maintain your energy throughout the day.
[Spiritual]Start every action with Bismillah.
Start every action in the name of Allah SWT. When you do that, don’t rush. Take a conscious moment to listen to yourself and ponder over what you say. This will help you switch to 'Abd of Allah' mode in every task and give you the spiritual energy to carry out those activities.
[Physical] Go for a walk
Take some time around 10-20 minutes when you feel so tired! Yes, moving creates energy in you. Allah SWT has created us in the form and shape to move and take action. Go outside, walk in nature, and glorify Allah SWT while being mindful of your environment and appreciating how Allah SWT created everything for a purpose.
[Social] Take breaks to check on others.
How often do we check on others in our busy days? We may think our problems are the only problems in the world. In fact, everyone desires the support, and human care. Checking on others about how they are doing is a great way to harness social energy.
The Prophet (ï·º) said,
"None of you will have faith till he wishes for his brother what he likes for himself."
Sahih-al Bukhari
If we remind ourselves of the hadith mentioned above and practice it solely to please Allah (SWT), our energy will elevate to a new level. Think about what you want right now, and consider whether your colleague, partner, or children desire the same thing.
I hope these tiny but powerful habits that bring the remembrance of Allah into our daily lives are helping you. Please share your experiences in the Ramadan challenge at our LinkedIn page.
…..Surely in the remembrance of Allah, do hearts find comfort.
(Quran 13:28)
